Remarks: The data collected from the past three weeks reveals a distressing pattern of violence that spans both rural and urban landscapes, ranging from digital lures to domestic betrayal. Several recent cases involve perpetrators using social media (TikTok/Facebook) to lure victims. A significant cluster of violent crimes has been reported in the Narsingdi industrial belt over the last two weeks. Additionally, the targeting of minors in remote areas highlight critical gaps in local safety and judicial deterrence. However, in almost all major reported cases, suspects have been apprehended within 48–72 hours.
This compilation serves as a call to action for thorough investigation and legal accountability. ANUKUL plays a pivotal role in this regard, advocating for faster judicial processing and “Zero Tolerance” policies. By documenting these atrocities and advocating for the victims, ANUKUL stands at the forefront of the struggle to seek justice and transparency. Only through such rigorous monitoring and unwavering advocacy can we hope to dismantle the culture of impunity and ensure a safer, more transparent society for the women and children of Bangladesh.
