Speaking Up Against Domestic Violence
Eligibility:
*Open to Undergraduate students across Bangladesh
The write-up should be based on the following thematic areas:
* Cultural Silence and Social Taboos around Domestic Violence.
* Empowerment of Victims of Domestic Violence through Awareness.
* Implication of Legal Knowledge to Combat Domestic Violence.
* Rule of Criminal Justice System in Combating Domestic Violence.
The scopes of the thematic areas may include–
– Youth engagement in challenging harmful norms through education and awareness.
– Social responsibility in breaking the silence within families and communities.
– Influence of social,legal and economic aspects on domestic violence.
– Analyses of the existing laws and policies to address the current societal issues of domestic violence.

Submission Guidelines
- Essays must not include the name of the author in the main text
- A separate cover page must include the essay title, full name of the participant,name of the institution,contact number and email address
- The write-ups must be original and unpublished
- Each participant can submit only one write-up
- File Name Format: Full Name of the Participant_ANUKULEssay2025.docx/pdf
- Plagiarism exceeding 20% or any AI generated text beyond intolerable limit will result in disqualification
Mode of Submission:
Via E-mail( Submit in both .docx and PDF version):essaycompetition@anukul.org
(will receive a confirmation E-mail)
Deadline for submission: 17 August 2025.
Rewards:
The authors of the best five essays will get certificates and those essays will be published on the website of ANUKUL . Moreover, prizes will be awarded to the first three position holders as follows:
- First Place Holder: BDT 5,000
- Second Place Holder: BDT 3,000
- Third Place Holder: BDT 1,500

– Selected papers must be presented in a webinar.
– No member from ANUKUL can participate in this competition
